On the back of a successful 2nd edition in 2019 as an official Virgin Australia Supercars Championship race, the Melbourne 400 2020 will be injecting mighty Supercars action at the iconic Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit once again! Held over four action-filled days, spectators witness the exhilarating sights and sounds of the Ford, Holden and Nissan V8stouching incredible speeds of 250km/h! The Melbourne 400 format consists of a four seperate race points system, two 13-lap sprints and two 25-lap races, setting up a Supercars scrap for points!

Both manufacturers Ford and Holden have enjoyed Melbourne 400 success in the opening two competitive races. The likes of Jamie Whincup in 2018 enjoying victory in his Holden Commodore ZB for Triple Eight Race Engineering Team and Chaz Mostert earning victory in his Ford Mustang GT for team Tickford Racing in 2019. The unique four race points system severely cost Scott Mclaughlin who amazingly won 3 out of the 4 races, to fall short of overall winner Chaz Mostert due to not completing a race, proving how crucial every race result is!
