Isle of Man Government Confirms Cancellation of
2021 Isle of Man TT® Races
On December 1st, 2020 we woke to the news that the Isle of Man Government has officially cancelled the 2021 Isle of Man TT® (IOMTT®) due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Isle of Man Minister for Enterprise, Laurence Skelly MHK stated: “We do not underestimate the disappointment that this decision will cause to many people. However, we are making an early, logical decision to provide certainty and clarity to race fans and everyone else involved in the event.” The Sportsnet® team also appreciates the disappointment that many of you would feel after another IOMTT® cancellation. We share your disappointment. The TT® is widely regarded as the favourite annual event for many in our team. However in this moment, our hearts immediately go to those who are being severely impacted by the pandemic across the globe. We hope you & your family are safe and healthy. We’re now compelled to look towards the 2022 IOMTT® races. After a two-year break, the longest since World War II, the 2022 IOMTT® will certainly be one for the ages.
