URGENT PARKING & ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORT UPDATE
2022 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix
IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ
WET WEATHER PARKING & ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORT
Due to recent and ongoing rainfall across Phillip Island, significant areas of public parking in and around the Phillip Island Circuit have been impacted by wet ground conditions, leaving most circuit parking unusable across all event days. As a result, a very limited number of public car park spaces will be available, close to the circuit, subject to ground conditions. Alternative car parking and transport arrangements are outlined further below.
Parking for motorcycles will still be available at or around the circuit. Motorcyclists will be directed to parking locations upon arrival, subject to availability and ground conditions.
Accessible parking will be available at Patton’s Carpark on Back Beach Rd opposite Gate 1. Please contact [email protected] for assistance.
These changed arrangements are to ensure the safety of all patrons, to avoid vehicles becoming bogged and to make your access to the Grand Prix Circuit as efficient as possible in the expected conditions.
We understand the inconvenience this may cause, and to make your experience as smooth as possible, the following transport options are available to you:
FOR PATRONS TRAVELLING BY CAR TO PHILLIP ISLAND:
PLEASE USE THE FREE ‘PARK AND RIDE’ SERVICES FROM COWES
For patrons driving to the event by car, you will be directed to park in Cowes where free street parking will be available along Thompson Avenue and surrounding streets. Please park your car and make your way to the nearest pick up location along Thompson Avenue.

Free MotoGP ‘Park and Ride’ services will operate daily from 7:30am – 8:00pm.
Drop off and pick up at the circuit will be from just outside Gate 1, along Back Beach Road.
The Free MotoGP ‘Park and Ride’ services will have some accessible bus options available.
Please allow plenty of extra time for parking and travelling to and from the circuit.
FOR PATRONS TRAVELLING BY MOTORCYCLE:
PLEASE PROCEED TO THE CIRCUIT & FOLLOW DIRECTIONAL SIGNAGE
For patrons travelling by motorcycle, parking will be available on or near the circuit. You will be directed to available parking locations upon your arrival.
We expect to be able to accommodate parking for all motorcyclists, however the current conditions mean that parking will be subject to availability and ground conditions.
