Growing our marketing & communications department is essential if we are to achieve our short and long-term objectives.
The Position
This positions focus is the optimisation of all our digital assets and channels, creating an information architecture across all of our digital properties. The key objective of generating eCommerce sales and leads for the sales department through digital best practise.
The positions key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Marketing Automation: Working with the marketing manager to implement a Marketing Automation process, optimising the process when and where necessary.
Website maintenance and updates: Ensuring the website is optimised and is up to date with the correct information, including but not limited to event dates, event naming right holders, imagery, event information, statistics, offers and promotions.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO): Working with the marketing team to ensure the continual optimisation of the brand and products search results.
Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO): Achieving the set KPI’s to ensure lead conversions are achieving ROI for Sportsnet across the entire range of products.
Pay Per Click (PPC) / Search Engine Marketing (SEM) / Display Campaigns: Managing and optimising the content distribution across paid channels, making critical suggestions and optimising campaigns where required, achieving KPI’s.
Insights / research / Reporting: Using data to create reports that drive actionable insights to inform the marketing, product and sales teams.
eCommerce: Helping the Sportsnet team migrate from a traditional sales model to a hybrid model, integrating two existing processes and systems.
About you:
- You’ll love sport, travel and digital marketing!

- You can take data and turn it into actionable insights.
The successful candidate will have the following expertise:
- Hands-on digital marketing and ecommerce experience, preferably consumer focused (B2C) across SEO, SEM, display, and paid social.
- A demonstrated history in performance marketing, working in fast paced environments, capable of handling multiple priorities and varying client requirements.
- An outstanding knowledge of digital analytics, with an understanding of, and experience in Google Ads, Analytics & Google Ads Editor.
- An understanding of Meta (Facebook) Ad Manager.
- Strong grasp of the role that digital branded content has in connecting and engaging with consumers.
- Experience with CRM’s will be highly advantageous, particularly the Salesforce suite of products.
- Sufficiently skilled in MS Office and relevant applications in the modern workforce.
