Did you know? Two public holidays in the state are dedicated to sport (AFL Grand Final Day and Melbourne Cup).
We couldn’t have a countdown of destinations to dream of without mentioning our home town, Melbourne.
There’s so much to love about this city so we want to take a moment to talk about the amazing things you can get up to when visiting.
If you are a lover of great views, the Eureka Skydeck is just for you! This thrilling experience will take you in a glass cube that projects out from the 88th floor and suspends you almost 300 meters high above Melbourne city.
We know heights aren’t for everyone so we also suggest checking out the Royal Botanic Gardens, with a collection of over 10,000 plants from all over the world, you’re sure to see some new fronds.
Moving across to the Queen Victoria Market, with over 600 small businesses it’s the perfect place to embrace the multicultural atmosphere. With handmade products, food, coffee and souvenirs, there’s sure to be something you will enjoy.
Melbourne is home to five international standard sporting facilities on the fringes of the CBD: the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Marvel Stadium, Rod Laver Arena, John Cain Arena and Olympic Park in Melbourne Park.
This means that we can get to many great sporting events like the Australian Open, AFL ANZAC Day clash, Melbourne Cup and more.
Melbourne has so much to offer, we can’t wait until we can all get out there and enjoy it again.
