Did you know? Darwin hosts an annual Darwin Beer Can Regata. Boats made from all sorts of cans get ready to sail.
When we think about what we love about Darwin there’s two things that come to mind, the contrast of lush green landscapes that lead to the rich red desert and of course, the crocs.
But they aren’t the only things that make Darwin a must-see destination.
There are plenty of attractions to fit into your itinerary, whether it’s a full day tour of Kakadu, cruising through Katherine Gorge or getting to know the wildlife on a jumping crocodile cruise, the list goes on.
The relaxation and scenery is one way to get us there but the events they put on are sure to make us stay.
When we head over to Hidden Valley Raceway to see the Supercars we love the feeling of being right in the action.
Another event that we think of fondly is the Darwin Cup, being in the tropical capital of Australia you have a pretty good chance of having fantastic weather on your day out.
Between the beautiful sunshine and intriguing events, this is place one we are hoping to get back to in a hurry.
