23 Destinations to dream of...
For our 23rd birthday we're revisiting 23 destinations you can look forward to getting back to
Destination #4 | Brisbane, Australia
Did you know? The first recorded use of electricity for public purposes in Australia took place in Brisbane in 1882.
This place is a pretty safe bet if you’re looking for good weather, Brisbane has an average of around 283 days of sunshine every year.
With that sunshine in mind, it’s the perfect weather to stroll around the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens or Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha, both are great locations for a stroll in the sunshine.
If you are looking for a story to follow, you might find it in the heritage-listed bridge that spans over the Brisbane river. While Story Bridge is pretty cool to look at, it’s even better to rise to the challenge and climb the bridge for a more exciting experience.
The view from Story Bridge is pretty great, but if you’re not keen on the climb The Wheel of Brisbane might be a better fit for you. Taking you 60 metres above ground with a 360 degree view, this is one of the best ways to view the city.
Another reason we love heading to Brisbane is because they host the NRL Magic Round. This is where all 16 teams compete at Suncorp Stadium across one action packed weekend.
We don’t know many people that would say no to a sunshine filled destination, it’s sure to keep us coming back.
