Q. Can I book a date that is not listed on the Sportsnet Holidays website?
A. Yes, a different date can be selected, however your booking will be made on request with the operator. Please note that some sightseeing experiences may not be available on the requested date.

Q. Are there minimum numbers required for the short stay packages?
A. Minimum numbers are required for a short stay package to proceed. Please speak to your expert consultant for further details.

Q. Are meals included in the short stay packages?
A. Breakfast daily is included in all short stay packages. All other meals will be at your own expense.

Q. Are sightseeing experiences / entrance fees included on the days at leisure?
A. No. Sightseeing experiences or sightseeing entrance fees are not included on a day at leisure and will be at your own expense.

Q. Which hotel am I staying at as part of the short stay package?
A. Your hotel will be confirmed at a later time however it will be a 4 star hotel.

Q. Can I remove any items from the short stay packages?
A. No. The package must be purchased as is.

Exclusive French Experiences / Sightseeing Day Tours

Q. Can I book a sightseeing tour for any date of my choosing?
A. Sightseeing experiences featured in selected ticket and accommodation packages are based on set departure dates. Other dates can be booked however are subject to availability. Please note that some experiences or tours may not operate 7 days a week.

Q. Are there minimum numbers required for sightseeing experiences?
A. Some experiences or tours may require minimum numbers for the sightseeing experience to proceed. Please speak to your expert consultant for further details.

Q. Are transfers included to and from a sightseeing experience / tour?
A. If as listed an inclusion, transfers will be provided, otherwise you will be required to make your own way to and from the departure point.

Day 1
Pick-up at your hotel in Marseille and transfer to the train station before your morning high speed train transfer to Lyon. Transfer to your hotel in Lyon and check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2
Explore the Beaujolais’ region on a full day guided tour where you will have the opportunity to discover how a vineyard operates behind the scenes and taste various Beaujolais region wines. Admire the beautiful scenery in Les Pierres Dorées (the Golden Stones area), in the southern part of the Beaujolais region. Return to Lyon at the end of the day and enjoy your evening at leisure. (B)

Day 3
Day at leisure. You may choose to visit Old Lyon, where you will experience the cobblestone roads and mingle with locals and tourists alike! Old Lyon has UNESCO status and many bars where locals hang out, along with plenty of shops and art galleries. As you wander the neighbourhood, you will see the famous and one-of-a-kind Traboules; passageways that were used by both city-dwellers over 1,500 years ago and the French Resistance during World War II plus many in between. For the foodies, you may wish to visit the Les Halles Paul Bocuse food market which is home to the best known local delicacies. You may then choose to finish your day by taking in some of the best views of the city on Fourvière Hill, the grounds of the spectacular Fourvière Basilica and the idyllic Rosary Garden. (B)

Day 4
Check-out of the hotel and enjoy the morning at leisure. Transfer to the train station and high speed train to Marseille. Upon arrival, be transferred to your Marseille hotel. (B)
