2018 FIFA World Cup, Russia Escorted Tours Now SOLD OUT!
In 2014, the FIFA World Cup was held in Brazil in what promised to be a month-long, nation-wide party. The 2014 FIFA World Cup saw surprise group stage exits from football powerhouses including England, Italy and defending champions, Spain. One of the most talked about moments of the tournament was the Luis Suárez biting incident. We saw some incredible football matches and after an impressive and clinical performance throughout the tournament, Germany emerged as the World Cup Champions, defeating Argentina 1-0 with the solitary goal coming at the death from superstar playmaker Mario Gotze.
Columbian striker James Rodriguez collected the Golden Boot for the most goals during the tournament. Lionel Messi came away with the player of the tournament award, despite his Argentinian side losing out in the final. The surprise of the tournament came in the form of the deep runs that both Costa Rica and Chile made ( making the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively), quickly becoming fan favourites for their determination and grit in the face of adversity! Costa Rica’s surprise run was made even more impressive by the fact that they were drawn in the same group as previous winners Italy, Uruguay and England!
If you’re interested in being a part of the world’s biggest sporting event (yes, bigger even than the Olympics!), the 2018 FIFA World Cup, set to be staged in Russia for the very first time (it will be interesting to see how some of the world’s football super powers such as Brazil and Spain fare in a climate so far removed from what they’re used to!) then please take a moment to enquire by selecting a package above, and completing the Enquiry Form at the bottom of the page. One of our friendly consultants will then be in touch to discuss the package inclusions and options, as well as your travel requirements in further detail.
