Without a doubt, the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 is the most iconic and highly-respected race domestically in Australia; however we’d argue that it’s right up there with the best international endurance races as well! The Mount Panorama Circuit is legendary for its unique layout. It features an elevation change of 174m from the lowest to highest point; a series of “blind” corners at the top of The Mountain; and a huge variation between the slowest and fastest parts of the circuit. Going into “The Chase” drivers are pushing 300km/h, yet in comparison the entry speed for “Forrest’s Elbow” is crawling pace at just 90km/h.  Make sure you’re there LIVE to soak it all in!

So what really makes this race one of the most thrilling endurance races on the planet? It’s the world renowned and legendary Mount Panorama Circuit. The unforgiving, mountainous track is the ultimate battleground, where a 1000km endurance race is won and lost on the very last lap. It features an elevation change of 174m from the lowest to highest point, a series of “blind” corners at the top of The Mountain, and a huge variation between the slowest and fastest parts of the circuit. Going into “The Chase”, drivers are pushing 300km/h, yet in comparison the entry speed for “Forrest’s Elbow” is a crawling pace of just 90km/h. Make sure you’re there LIVE to soak it all in! In addition to the Circuit’s challenging nature (or perhaps because of it!), the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 is renowned for producing plenty of drama, as drivers push themselves to the limit coping with temperatures up to 70 degrees Celsius inside the car, losing up to 3.5 kilograms — in perspiration — during a long stint, all endured to claim bragging rights in conquering “The Mountain”!

In addition to the Circuit’s challenging nature (or perhaps because of it!), the Bathurst 1000 is renowned for producing plenty of drama, excitement and unforgettable moments and results! Teams and drivers will be pushing harder than ever to claim bragging rights in conquering “The Mountain”!

Last but certainly not least, the atmosphere in and around Mount Panorama over the Bathurst 1000 is nothing short of electric! A small country town with a population of just 30,000 for 360 days a year is suddenly home to 100,000+ diehard motorsport fans which results in an intoxicating “buzz” that is just about tangible!

With new generation Supercars set to finally debut in 2019, the Bathurst 1000 2019 is shaping-up to be one of the most significant editions of ‘The Great Race’ in recent memory! With both Holden and Ford hinting that they’ll be entering new machinery in selected races as wildcards next year, as much as we love the sound of the current 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8’s, we cannot wait to hear some new sounds echo throughout Mt. Panorama in 2019! What will be even more intriguing than the new machinery itself though, is how it will compete against the tried and tested Falcons and Commodores! What’s going to reach a faster top speed by the end of Conrod Straight – a Falcon or a Mustang?! And what’s going to have better acceleration coming out of Forest’s Elbow – the 3.6 twin turbo out of the new Commodore, or the ‘no-replacement-for-displacement’ 5.0-litre V8 in the old one?! We can’t wait to be there trackside at ‘The Mountain’ next to see, hear, smell and feel first hand!

Away from the track, we’ll once again be hosting our famous and EXCLUSIVE Bathurst 1000 weekend functions! This year we’re hosting three functions: the ‘Driver’s Dinner‘ on  Thursday night and the ‘Legends Dinner‘ on Friday night. These events are definitely one of the highlights of our packages and never fail to deliver on a great night out with plenty to eat and drink, live music and entertainment and the opportunity to rub shoulder’s with some of V8 Supercars’ and Supercars’ biggest names of past and present. Some of the names that have made appearances at Sportsnet Bathurst 1000 functions in the past include Mark Winterbottom, Fabian Coulthard, Garth Tander, David Reynolds, Michael CarusoGreg Murphy, Jim Richards, John Bowe and Dick Johnson just to name a handful!

Would you love to be there when 100,000+ diehard motorsports fans take over 2019 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 for 4 days of unmissable, action-packed Supercars racing? Then please select a package below and then complete the Enquiry Form on the package page. One of our friendly travel experts will be in touch to discuss our range of packages and your travel requirements in further detail.

Cheers and hopefully you can join us at Mount Panorama in 2019!

Bathurst 1000 2019 travel packages and deals

“What an amazing trip to the Bathurst 1000. It was our first time and the support I received from Sportsnet and Jodi was so well organised from the motel to the drivers dinner, national museum and paddock pass was awesome. Throughly enjoyed our trip thanks Sportsnet.”
– Tamara Smith, 14 October 2018

“My first Bathurst trip and my first trip To Sydney all went off without any hitches. Thank you to all the staff who made our V8 holiday truly memorable. A special thanks to IAN HILL at Sportsnet for all your help. I would highly recommend Sportsnet for your next sporting adventure.”
– Tama Knowles, 16 November 2017

“We have used Sportsnet for three Supercars packages in the last few years – Bathurst, Townsville and Darwin. Each time everything was organised very well for us so we just had to check in to our accommodation (which was delightful) and enjoy our time at the racing. All of our tickets, passes etc were received weeks ahead of our holiday so no last minute chasing around. We would recommend them for organising a getaway any day! Kym & Gary.”
– Kym Scamp Courtenay, 16 November 2017

“Bathurst 2017 was my first year and I loved it! All the staff were so helpful whenever I rang asking questions. The weekend was amazing, the dinner on Thursday night, corporate marquee above the start line, bus ride around the track was so much fun. We were well fed and looked after the whole time. Thanks guys can’t wait for next year
– Rachel Beale, 15 November 2017

“Thanks to all at Sportsnet for another awesome Bathurst experience. You do a fantastic job – dealt mainly with Glynn – had a few issues along the way but Glynn was able to assist with all of them and it was great to meet him at the Thursday night dinner – look forward to attending Bathurst again next year with you.”
– Karen L Black, 27 October 2017

“Bathurst Tent City 2017 was fantastic and well worth the money. Great accommodation (like a motel in a tent), great cooked breakfast, very well organised and charging stations for phone. Legends Dinner was excellent and there was a great bus service to and from the track. The crew do a brilliant job. Nice hot showers, clean toilets – a truly magical weekend. Everyone should do it at least once but it is addictive! Great job Sportsnet, we’ve just booked our 3rd year and are looking forward to 2018!
– Danae Williams, 27 October 2017

“Thank you for an excellent Bathurst 1000 adventure! Glynn was a pleasure to deal with throughout numerous emails and it was a pleasure to meet him in person at the Bathurst dinner, he is a credit to your business. This was our first trip with Sportsnet – no hassle, excellent service, value for money… So glad to have found you and can’t wait to travel with you again!

– Jo Knight, 24 October 2017

“Bathurst 2017 was a great trip with a good bunch of guys made all the better by the Sportsnet package and Drivers Dinner!

“Unbelievable experience at Bathurst 2017 couldn’t asked for a better organised package.
– Mark Paul, 12 October 2017

“Bathurst 1000 was an awesome experience thanks to Sportsnet Holidays. First time attending the event and first experience with Sportsnet and it was nothing but positive. Highly recommend both Sportsnet and Bathurst 1000 and hope to do it again at the same event or any others.
– Nicholas Guidotto, 12 October 2017
