For Immediate Release: Sportsnet Holidays First Travel Company Outside the Isle of Man to be granted Official License

Melbourne, Australia – Sportsnet is thrilled to announce it has been granted an Official TT licence by the Isle of Man Government to market Official packages for the Isle of Man TT Races and Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling, the first company outside of the Isle of Man to be officially licensed.

Established in 1998, Australian company Sportsnet Holidays has risen to be one of the leading travel agents in sporting events around the world. From humble beginnings, Sportsnet now charter major aircraft, book over 300 ferries and completely fill hotels such as the Palace Hotel & Casino with hundreds of dedicated fans travelling to the Isle of Man TT event each year.

Sportsnet Holidays Chief Operating Officer, Daniel Cecconi said “We have worked tirelessly over many years to develop what we believe are worlds-best travel packages to the Isle of Man TT, Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix and we are ecstatic with our appointment as an Official Partner licence holder. The passion and excitement for the TT Races is unparalleled, with Sportsnet selling out every package for 2018 from our exclusive platinum/VIP package, through to all escorted tours, as well as our race-break packages.”

The Isle of Man Government Minister for Tourism & Motorsport, Rob Callister said “We are pleased to welcome Sportsnet to our portfolio of Official Licensed operators.  They already have a great track record of promoting the TT to a wide Australian customer base and have grown the profile and interest in the event to the extent that there is now a significant Australian contingent who attend the TT every year.  We will now look to build on that interest with the Festival of Motorcycling as well as further growing the TT market with Sportsnet.”

“Sportsnet has enormous depth of experience when it comes to large scale sports events such as the Isle of Man TT. We developed our relationship with multiple TT winner and Sportsnet’s TT ambassador, Cameron Donald several years ago when we realised what our clients wanted was the kind of in-depth race experience only a current TT rider could help offer. This has allowed us to provide incredible events from tours of the circuit hosted by current and legend TT riders, fully-catered evening functions which include our famous TT Riders panel and hospitality days at one of the island’s great race vantage points, the Creg Ny Baa.” said Mr Cecconi.
