THURSDAY 29 JUNE 2017 – Day 1

This morning staff will welcome you at Dusseldorf airport and transfer you to your accommodation for the next three nights. Once checked into the hotel, you will have time to prepare your bike and head for a short warm up ride to stretch the legs.

In the afternoon/early evening you will be transferred into the heart of Dusseldorf to view the official team presentation. This will be your first chance to see the riders and all the excitement that surrounds Le Tour.

Following the presentation, will be dinner and a chance to discuss the exciting week ahead with your fellow travellers!

FRIDAY 30 JUNE 2017 – Day 2

With the tour not starting until tomorrow, the group will take the opportunity to head to the beautiful Rhine Valley, arguably the most famous wine region in Germany.

Head for a ride through the Rhine Valley region before finishing in a beautiful vineyard for some wine tasting and lunch.

You will be transferred back towards the hotel in the evening, stopping in the region’s cultural city of Cologne. Here you can enjoy the evening at your leisure to explore the beautiful Gothic architecture or stop at one of Germany’s famous brew houses.

SATURDAY 1 JULY 2017 – Day 3 – Stage 1: Dusseldorf – Dusseldorf ITT, 13km

Stage one of this year’s Tour de France begins on the streets of Dusseldorf, where the riders will race against the clock around a city circuit in the opening individual time trial. Local World Champion, Tony Martin will be a favourite to take the first yellow jersey of this year’s race.

You will have an optional ride first thing in the morning, along the course the pros will tackle on tomorrow’s second stage. Following this you will be taken into the city centre and into the VIP departure village where you can see all the action of the riders warming up, starting and finishing their rides! You will be in Dusseldorf all afternoon soaking up the atmosphere of the first stage!!

SUNDAY 2 JULY 2017 – Day 4 – Stage 2

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and you will be transferred south towards the next destination in the Ardennes region of Belgium. Stopping for brunch where you will have a chance to prepare your bike and follow the final kilometres of today’s Tour de France course into the finishing town of Liege.

A unique experience today as you, just like the pros, will cross the official finish line of stage two and get your chance for photos on the official Tour podium! Following this the group will make its way to the finish line to see the end of stage two which is expected to end in a bunch sprint!

After the days stage, you will be transferred to you accommodation, check in and enjoy dinner as a group.

MONDAY 3 JULY 2017 – Day 5 – Stage 3: Verviers – Longwy, 202km

An early breakfast awaits you this morning. Following breakfast you will be transferred a short distance to Verviers, the depart village for today’s stage. Once there we will get on your bike and experience what it’s like to start an official Tour de France stage as you cross the official start line, ride through the neutral zone and past km 0 under closed road conditions!

Stopping on the side of the road for a picnic lunch as you and your fellow travellers wait for the Tour de France caravan and peloton to pass; an exciting spectacle as you see how the locals embrace le Tour! Once passed you will continue on your bike back to the hotel where you can relax and view the final km of today’s stage on television.

This evening you will be transferred to a nearby village where you can enjoy dinner at your leisure.

TUESDAY 4 JULY 2017 – Day 6 – Stage 4: Mondorf-les-Bains – Vittel, 203km

Enjoy a sleep in this morning as the tour continue south into France. Today take the opportunity to ride the famous roads in the Ardennes region, made famous by such classic races including Liege-Bastogne-Liege and La Fleche Wallone. On your ride to lunch, climb famous roads including the Cote de la Redoute and Col du Rosier.

Enjoy some downtime and lunch in the beautiful town of Spa, made famous for its hot springs. You will have plenty of time to explore the town before your way back to the hotel.

Tonight is your final dinner with your fellow travellers as you reflect on the last week!

WEDNESDAY 5 JULY 2017 – Day 7 – Stage 5: Vittel – La planche des belles filles, 160km

This morning marks the end of your tour. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and staff will transfer you to Brussels airport, only a one and a half hour journey before saying your final goodbyes.
