SUNDAY 9 JULY 2017 – Day 1 – Stage 9: Nantua – Chambery, 181km

This morning staff will welcome you on your Pyrenees adventure at the nearby Toulouse airport. After some meet and greets you will be transferred to your hotel in Lourdes at the base of the Pyrenees mountains.

The drive to your hotel is roughly two hours. Staff have already checked you in prior to arrival so you can go straight to your room, freshen up and relax. While you do that staff will prepare your bikes, ready for an afternoon ride through the valley to stretch the legs.

This evening you will head to dinner as a group to discuss the exciting week ahead!

Todays ride:- 40km easy ride to warm up the legs.

MONDAY 10 JULY 2017 – Day 2 – TDF Rest Day

After breakfast this morning you start by making your way on the bike down the valley towards your first big climb of the tour. Just 15km from the hotel you will come to the foot of the Hautacam, a 14km climb averaging 6.5%. This will be a good mountain to test your climbing legs for the days to come.

Once at the summit, you will descend down into the town of Argeles Gazost – a quaint village town in at the base of the mountains. Stopping for lunch you will find many options in the main square before getting back your bike for the short ride back to Lourdes.

The afternoon and evening are at your leisure, a great opportunity to visit the grotto, a famous pilgrimage site for Catholics around the world.

Todays ride:- 60km, including climb to Hautacam.

TUESDAY 11 JULY 2017 – Day 3 – Stage 10: Perigueux – Bergerac, 178km

As the tour is back on the road and making its way toward the Pyrenees after a rest day, you will enjoy another day tackling the beautiful Pyrenees mountains. Today is the iconic Col du Tourmalet, an 18km climb from the town of Luz-Saint-Sauveur. Featured in the Tour no less than 79 times, this mountain has many stories to tell, today you too will add a story!

As the climb to the summit of the Tourmalet will take most of the morning, you will have lunch at the summit before making you way back to Lourdes in the early afternoon.

Todays ride:- 80km, difficult – includes climb to Col du Tourmalet.

WEDNESDAY 12 JULY 2017 – Day 4 – Stage 11: Eymet – Pau, 202km

After spending a few days in the Pyrenees, the peloton will arrive this afternoon into Pau where you will be at the finish line to greet them!

After a late breakfast you will be transferred north (or an earlier departure on the bike if your legs are up for it!) to intersect the official course for today’s stage. You will then ride on the official course towards the finish line in Pau just hours before the pros and stage your own finish across the finish line on closed roads, cheered on by the fans waiting for the ‘other’ race to come by.

After crossing the finish line you will have the opportunity to take a photo on the official Tour de France podium before making you to see the sprinters battle for a stage victory… or will a breakaway succeed following the rest day?

THURSDAY 13 JULY 2017 – Day 5 – Stage 12: Pau – Peyragudes, 214km

After breakfast check out of the hotel the ride today will see you make your way towards one of the category climbs of today’s stage. Stopping towards the top of the climb, staff will have set up a great location for lunch and to see the Tour de France as it makes its way over a mountain pass. You will remember today for years to come, as the atmosphere on the mountain will never be forgotten!

After the race passes you will complete your climb before being transferred back to your new accommodation. Once refreshed, you will enjoy dinner as a group before getting a well earned nights rest!

Todays Ride:- 60-80km, hard mountain climbs.

FRIDAY 14 JULY 2017 – Day 6 – Stage 13: Saint-Girons – Foix, 100km

Today is the last of the Pyrenees mountain stages before the race heads towards the Alps. VIP hospitality has been organised for you to enjoy another enthralling stage! Today is also extra special for the French as they celebrate Bastille day, their national holiday. The roads will be packed and no doubt Thomas Vockler will be out to win the stage in his final Tour appearance.

After breakfast you will begin your ride for the day as you make your way on the official Tour de France course, with the destination being Le Tours premier hospitality facility, located at Relais Etape. You will be greeted with champagne on arrival before enjoying a three course lunch, hosted by Tour de France personalities. You will be roadside to catch the tour live as it passes enroute to the finish line in Foix. There will also be a live TV broadcast so you don’t miss any of the action!!

At the conclusion of the days stage you will be transferred back to the hotel where you will enjoy your final meal as a group before the tour ends in the morning.

Todays Ride:- 60km, medium difficulty, including category 1 climb.

SATURDAY 15 JULY 2017 – Day 7 – Stage 14: Blagnac – Rodez, 181km

Today marks the final day of the Pyrenees trip, but there is still plenty more of the Tour to see before you bid farewell.

After an early breakfast and checking out of the hotel, you will be making your way to Blagnac, the departure village for today’s stage. You will be going behind the scenes of today’s stage as the riders and teams prepare for the day ahead. See the riders sign on, warm up and perhaps even have a coffee or a haircut before the stage begins.

The race will begin around midday, and it is after the race departs when you will be transferred to Toulouse airport to say your final farewells.
