Stinging from their home campaign loss in RWC 2015, England went on the defeat the much fancied New Zealand side only to go one short of winning in Japan 2019. They just met one better that year in a powerful South African side, but will spend the four years between preparing and thinking what could have been. The English side is an ever-present threat at RWC, with the ability to grind out wins.
