The action kicks off with the Thailand Grand Prix on February 27 and wraps up in Valencia on November 22. Motorsports fans are in for an unforgettable season!
KEY CHANGES FOR THE 2026 MOTOGP™ SEASON
MotoGP™ continues to grow globally in 2026, the standout is the return of the Brazilian Grand Prix at the Autódromo Ayrton Senna in Goiânia, marking MotoGP’s first visit to Brazil since 2004. The series maintains its traditional European armada, with Spain hosting four rounds and select events undergoing schedule shifts. A month‑long summer break follows the German round, easing the burden on teams, and the calendar closes with thrilling back‑to‑back events in San Marino, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, Portugal and the Valencia finale.
Team line-ups are shaking things up once again: Jack Miller remains with Pramac Racing after his 2025 switch, while Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales continue with the KTM Tech3 outfit in their second season together.
After a strong rookie year, Somkiat Chantra is set to race in front of his home fans once again at the Thai Grand Prix, while Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín look to take Aprilia to new heights. Ai Ogura remains with Trackhouse Racing, partnering with Raúl Fernández for another year of development and momentum.

2026 MOTOGP™ RACE FORMATS
MotoGP™ will continue with its current race weekend structure in 2026, as the sport prepares for major regulation changes set to take effect in 2027.
That said, refinements are still underway. Tyre supplier Michelin is expected to expand the use of its updated front tyre compound, introduced last season, which was developed to better withstand the forces generated by modern aero packages and ride-height devices. The tyre also helps reduce temperature and pressure fluctuations when riders are closely following competitors, improving safety and stability across the grid.
