The UFC is heading back to Western Australia! Perth will host its third UFC event in as many years, with a highly anticipated Fight Night scheduled for Sunday, 28 September (Saturday, 27 September ET).

The Octagon will once again take centre stage at RAC Arena, a venue that has quickly become a favourite among Aussie fight fans. The last time the UFC rolled into town was for UFC 305, when South African middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis defended his title against Israel Adesanya, securing a thrilling fourth-round submission in front of a roaring local crowd.

Perth: The new home of MMA Down Under

While this upcoming event won’t be a pay-per-view blockbuster, another huge turnout is expected as Perth continues to establish itself as Australia’s premier MMA destination.

The UFC has already confirmed it will return to Perth for a pay-per-view event in 2026, reinforcing the city's growing reputation on the global fight calendar.

The roster of athletes across Australia and New Zealand is stronger than ever, and fans can expect to see high-energy matchups and future stars stepping into the Octagon at RAC Arena.

Perth has become a second home for the UFC, hosting unforgettable events and producing some of the best fighters in the world. The continued support from Western Australia has helped the sport thrive, creating memorable moments for fans and driving major benefits for the local economy.

Who will step into the Octagon?

While no fights have been officially announced yet, excitement is already building over who might feature on the card.

One name everyone is watching is Perth’s own Jack Della Maddalena. The current UFC welterweight champion made history by becoming only the third Australian to win UFC gold after defeating Belal Muhammad at UFC 315.

With the Octagon returning to his hometown, all eyes will be on whether Della Maddalena will defend his title on home soil, a moment that would go down as one of the biggest in Aussie MMA history.
