AFL – Deals & Ticket Packages

Event Details

The Australian Football League (AFL) is far & away Australia‘s most popular sport in terms of attendance & total spectatorship. Since its evolution from a recreational game played between a handful of schools in Melbourne, Victoria in 1858, it has grown to be played all across the nation, with 18 nationwide teams competing across a 23 round regular season, culminating in a finals series that almost always finishes with more than 100,000 spectators packing out the Melbourne Cricket Ground on the last Saturday in September (or sometimes first in October!).

There’s nothing quite like the atmosphere of an AFL match, and after spectators returned to the stands in droves in 2022, 2023 is set to be one of the biggest seasons in AFL history. An unbeatable Geelong, a resurgent Richmond, a rising Collingwood or Fremantle, who will lift the Premiership Cup when it’s all said & done?

The annual ANZAC Day Match between Collingwood and Essendon has been the biggest game of the home & away season since it commenced in 1995, a day in which 94,825 people packed out the MCG, a record that still stands to this day. From the emotion of the ceremony to the on-field heroics of players striving for the ANZAC Day Medal, you will struggle to find a more emotion-driven day on the Australian sporting calendar.

But it doesn’t stop there.

Starting in 2015, two more Victorian powerhouse teams, Melbourne & Richmond began hosting an ANZAC Day Eve Match, a game which also continues to pull in supporters at a rate of knots. Another of the most spinetingling moments to witness is the ANZAC Day Eve Ceremony at the MCG, with all the lights turned off around the ground, and the silence in the crowd as The Last Post is played on the Bugle. With both teams expected to be right up the top of the ladder in 2023, who is to say this won’t be the best game of the home & away season?

Both of these matches are played at the MCG, and Sportsnet give you the power to attend one, or both of them with a range of ticket package options.

If you’d like to attend the biggest games of the home & away season in the AFL, with your accommodation and official tickets arranged for you, all you need to do is register your details and one of our consultants will provide you with all the options you have available.
