Traditionally one of the final races of the season, the Japanese Formula 1® Grand Prix has seen the Drivers’ World Championship decided an incredible 13 times in the last 30 times the race has been staged. Staged exclusively at one of the oldest and most demanding circuits in world motorsport, Suzuka since 2009, the Japanese Formula 1® Grand Prix very rarely fails to deliver a thrilling race including famous showdowns between Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna, Senna vs Mansell, Michael Schumacher vs Damon Hill, Hill vs Jacques Villeneuve… the list goes on!

The only ‘Figure 8’ circuit remaining in Formula 1®, the Suzuka Circuit is undoubtedly one of the really special tracks of world motorsport. 5.8km in length with an awesome capacity of 155,000, the circuit features 18 of the most famous turns and corners in the world including the famous three ‘esses’ chicanes, the ‘Casio Triangle’ 90º left-hander, and one of the tightest hairpin corners in the world in Turn 11! Famous for it’s natural beauty, the circuit is located in the Mie Prefecture (Kansai Region) in Japan’s South East. The Prefecture’s land area is 35% national parks and attractions include: the Ise Grand Shrine – Japan’s holiest Shinto shrine; Iga-Ueno – birthplace of the ninja, and several of Japan’s best ‘onsens’ (hot springs). The circuit itself features an amusement park, a racing school and a motorcycle and automobile school.
