All Access Rally Pass to the 2023 Burt Munro Challenge including:

  • Experience one of the major motorsport events in New Zealand, the Burt Munro Challenge. The event was created by the Southland Motorcycle Club in honour of Burt for his ingenuity, determination and love of speed and motorcycles. For the full Burt Munro Challenge experience, the All-Access Rally Pass provides entry into all six racing events as well as entry into the Rally. Once the racing has finished for the day, access the live entertainment marquee at the Rally which for some is the highlight of their trip as the Burt Munro Challenge is as much about the people as it is about the bikes!
    • Entry into the Star Insurance NZ Hill Climb Champs and Harley Davidson Twilight Drag Racing on Thursday 9th February, 2023
      • The challenge kicks off in Bluff/Motupohue, half an hour south of Invercargill with the Bluff Hill Climb, where tensions are high. Experience the smell of the exhausts, the scream of the engines, the heat of the machines as they speed past, climbing their way to the summit. Cheer the riders on as they wrench and weave their way up to what seems like the heavens.
      • Later in the day, marvel at the sight of twilight drag racers streaking down the Teretonga Park straight at speeds more than 250kph.
    • Entry into the Indian Motorcycle Beach Racing and NZ Champs on Friday 10th February, 2023
      • Stepping onto the long emptiness of Oreti Beach, where Burt once opened the throttle, is a raw and awe-inspiring experience. Watch the dirt bikes tear up and down the mile-long circuit from your sand dune grandstand position, as oyster catchers split open tuatua shells on the low-tide mark. Unique? You betcha.
    • Entry into the E Hayes and Sons Teretonga Sprint Races and Super Seller Shelley Speedway on Saturday 11th February, 2023
      • Teretonga Park has hosted Superbike, V8 and Formula 1 legends, and now you will enjoy the Sprint Races here. There are few experiences that come near the g-force thrill of a lap or two of the southernmost FIA-approved motor racing circuit in the world.
      • Saturday night at the speedway spectacular is a highlight for most, as their brakeless bikes slide around in the dirt – delighting the huge crowds surrounding the circuit.
    • Entry into the Honda Invercargill Street Races on Sunday 12th February, 2023
      • On the final day, crowds will gather in number at the Sunday Street races, which showcase all manner of bikes from highly tuned, modern racing machines to lovingly restored vintage gems.
    • Access to Rally facilities including food stalls, bar and merchandise tents
    • Access to the live entertainment marquee at the Burt Munro Rally on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night
      • The rally is the highlight of the trip for some with live music, a huge array of food vendors, the camaraderie is overflowing!
    • Courtesy coaches to and from the CBD on Friday and Saturday evening between 7pm – 1am

Visit E Hayes and Sons Hardware Store on Thursday 9th February, 2023

  • Every year, thousands of visitor’s journey to E Hayes and Sons’ iconic Invercargill hardware store for one reason – to see remarkable vintage motorcycles and stand in the presence of a legend. Only in a hardware store will you see Burt Munro’s authentic, original and legendary 1920 Indian Scout as part of the E Hayes Motorworks collection.

Bikers Breakfast at Handle Bar on Friday 10th February, 2023

  • For those who cannot get enough of motorcycles this weekend, why not have breakfast with the backdrop of the best in everything two-wheeled at the Handle Bar located within the Classic Motorcycle Mecca. You will delight in the craftsmanship of the bikes and the building, from the exposed brick of the restored heritage buildings to the amazing up-close views of some of the most spectacular bikes in this unique surrounding. Full of character and atmosphere and overlooking the inner city of Invercargill, this is a not to be missed experience!

Entry into the Classic Mecca Museum on Friday 10th February, 2023

Day 1: FRIDAY 3 FEBRUARY 2023 – Arrive Queenstown – Wanaka
On arrival at Queenstown airport, you will met by your Tour Director and transferred to Wanaka. Visit a working deer farm in the New Zealand high country and enjoy afternoon tea. You will have some free time this afternoon to explore as you wish. Tonight, enjoy dinner as group at a local restaurant. (D)

Day 2: SATURDAY 4 FEBRUARY 2023 – Wanaka – Cromwell – Queenstown
Enjoy free time this morning where you may choose to paddle board or kayak along Lake Wanaka, take a horseback riding tour or climb to the top of Mt Iron for amazing views of the Southern Alps, Pisa Range and Lake Wanaka. In Cromwell, stop at Highlands Motorsport Park and take time to explore the Highlands Museum. Is it Michael Schumacher’s Benetton F1 car or is it the $4.2 million dollar Aston Martin Vulcan that draws a crowd? Even if you are not a motorsports fan, you will enjoy viewing some of the rarest cars in NZ motorsport history. You may also choose to add on an adrenaline-packed activity here. Visit Broken Heart Spirits Distillery and learn about the friendship that founded the distillery and taste some of the award-winning spirits crafted from some of the purest waters in the world. Arrive in Queenstown, the ‘Adventure Capital of the World’ where you will spend the next three nights. (B)

Day 3: SUNDAY 5 FEBRUARY 2023 – Queenstown
Board the Shotover Jet for an exciting and adrenaline pumping ride on the beautiful Queenstown waterways. The remainder of the day is free time to add on your own extreme activities or take it easy around the lake. (B)

Day 4: MONDAY 6 FEBRUARY 2023 – Queenstown
Today is free to explore in Queenstown. Your Tour Director is on hand to assist with booking any excursions. (B)

Day 5: TUESDAY 7 FEBRUARY 2023 – Queenstown – Te Anau – Milford Sound
Today you will take a scenic drive across the heart of the South Island to the picturesque township of Te Anau. Known as the gateway to Fiordland National Park, the town sits on the edge of the largest lake in the South Island, with Mt Luxmore and Murchison Mountains providing a magnificent backdrop. Stop for lunch. Cruise the famous Milford Sound, a UNESCO World Heritage Site to view stunning waterfalls, dramatic cliffs and the chance to see New Zealand fur seals, dolphins and Fiordland-crested penguins. Enjoy a special dinner onboard featuring local food and wine and perhaps share in some stargazing. Please note: The bedding on the Milford Mariner is strictly twin bedding only. (B,D)

Enjoy a morning cruise on the famous sound and experience the sightseeing opportunities here. Travel south to Invercargill where you will be dropped off at The Langlands Hotel for the start of your Burt Munro Challenge Experience.
