Rugby League began being played in Australia in 1908 and since then has become one of the most popular sports in the country. The National Rugby League (NRL) was formed in 1998, this competition takes place between Australia and New Zealand where 16 teams compete to win the Provan-Summons Trophy.

Truly unique to NRL, the Brisbane Magic Round and State of Origin are in-season competitions that draw national attention each year as two of the most popular sporting events in Australia. State of Origin famously pits players from New South Wales against players from Queensland over a 3 match series and is nationally regarded as the biggest rivalry in Australian sport. Magic Round is an action-packed weekend where (almost) all the teams in the league head to Brisbane for one weekend in an epic festival of rugby like nothing else!
