The NBA returns to Paris! The NBA Paris Game returns in January of 2023 (the first game in the French Capital since 2020), as historic Eastern Conference powerhouses the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls take the court at Accor Arena, where 17,000 fans can be expected to pack out the stands. France native Killian Hayes will be looking to stamp his authority on the game, particularly in the absence of star teammate Cade Cunningham, who is out for the rest of the season. The Bulls will be looking for household names Zach Lavine and Demar Derozan to lift the team and try their best to emulate the Chicago Bulls popularity from their famous tour of the city in 1997.

Whilst the Detroit Pistons and the Chicago Bulls are in Paris, the attention of the NBA will also be starting to turn towards the NBA All-Star break taking place in Salt Lake City, Utah, for the first time in 30 years. The 3-day event is aways a spectacle for basketball fans, with the opportunity to witness the NBA All-Star Game, the Rising Stars Game, Dunk Contest, 3 Point Contest, Skills Challenge & more!

Get access to all of the biggest and best NBA events in 2023 & beyond through Sportsnet’s partnership with NBA Experiences, the National Basketball Association’s official travel provider.

Closer to home, the world’s premier mixed martial arts competition, the UFC returns to Australia for the first time since 2019, when it comes to Perth on Sunday February the 12th, with star Aussie Alexandar Volkanovski taking on Islam Makhachev, Robert Whittaker taking on Paulo Costa, and many more household names taking centre stage in the Octagon.

If there wasn’t enough action with the UFC on that weekend, arguably the biggest event in sports takes place that same weekend, the Super Bowl! The Super Bowl is taking place at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on February 12th of 2023, and as always is set to be sporting spectacle to behold. Arizona has been a popular host for the event, with four Super Bowls being played there since 1996, and one as recently as 2015. The 2022-2023 NFL season is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable in years, and who knows who could be lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy in February. The Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, and Minnesota Vikings have to be the favourites at this point – but the Dallas Cowboys, San Fransico 49ers & Cincinnati Bengals aren’t far behind. Could this year surpass the famous Tom Brady comeback of 2017 for the New England Patriots against the Atlanta Falcons?
