Kick off the 2027 Burt Munro Challenge escorted tour with an exclusive drive-in movie night at Bill Richardson Transport World. Enjoy a private screening of The World's Fastest Indian from the comfort of a classic car, surrounded by an incredible collection of vintage vehicles.

Classic Motorcycle Mecca Guided Tour & Breakfast

Enjoy a hot buffet breakfast with tea, barista coffee and orange juice before exploring Classic Motorcycle Mecca, the largest motorcycle museum in New Zealand. Discover over 300 bikes dating back to 1902, including iconic brands like Harley-Davidson, Indian, Vincent and BMW, displayed up close in immersive 360-degree exhibits.

BBQ Dinner at the Super Seller Shelley Speedway

The local scout group will be serving up a classic BBQ as you take in the sights and sounds of Super Seller Shelley Speedway. Enjoy a burger or sausage in bread with a soft drink while soaking up the atmosphere trackside.

Farewell party at the Tuatara Cafe and Bar

WEDNESDAY 10 FEBRUARY 2027

Arrive Invercargill

Welcome to Invercargill, New Zealand. Make your own way from the airport to the Distinction Invercargill Hotel.

Tonight, kick off your Burt Munro Challenge experience with a truly unique welcome event—a private drive-in movie night at Bill Richardson Transport World. Immerse yourself in 'Bill's Shed', surrounded by a stunning collection of vintage vehicles, for an exclusive screening of the iconic 'The World's Fastest Indian', all while watching from the comfort of one of the museum's classic cars. Enjoy 60’s style diner food including popcorn and a classic American hot dog plus a non-alcoholic drink, with a cash bar available for all remaining drink purchases.

After the movie ends, be transferred back to the Distinction Invercargill Hotel.

THURSDAY 11 FEBRUARY 2027

NZ Hill Climb Champs and Twilight Drag Racing

This morning, take a short walk to the E Hayes and Sons hardware store to see Burt Munro’s authentic, original 1920 Indian Scout as part of the E Hayes Motorworks collection.

Then, the action begins just half an hour south of Invercargill at the legendary Bluff Hill Climb. Experience the engines, the crowd, and the thrill as riders climb to the summit. Photo opportunity at Stirling Point Bluff, famous for its signpost depicting directions and distances to major cities around the world.

This evening, transfer from the Distinction Invercargill Hotel to the Twilight Drag Racing at Teretonga Park. After the racing, return to the hotel. (B)

FRIDAY 12 FEBRUARY 2027

Indian Motorcycle Beach Racing and NZ Champs

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Indian Motorcycle Beach Racing and NZ Champs at Oreti Beach. Watch the dirt bikes tear up and down the mile-long circuit from your sand dune grandstand position.

After racing is complete, transfer back to the hotel. Afternoon and evening at leisure. (B)

SATURDAY 13 FEBRUARY 2027

Super Seller Shelley Speedway

Enjoy a special breakfast at Classic Motorcycle Mecca, then tour the museum's collection of over 300 motorbikes from names such as Indian, Harley Davidson, Vincent, John Britten, Brough Superior, Burt Munro, and BMW.

In the afternoon, transfer to Oreti Park for the Super Seller Shelley Speedway. Watch the brakeless bikes slide around the dirt from a Curtain Sider Viewing Platform. Enjoy a BBQ meal (burgers and sausages) provided by the local scout group. After the racing, return to the Distinction Invercargill Hotel. (B, D)

SUNDAY 14 FEBRUARY 2027

E Hayes & Sons Teretonga Sprint Races and NZ Superbike Champs

After breakfast, transfer to Teretonga Park for the final day of competition at the E Hayes and Sons Teretonga Sprint Races and the NZ Superbike Championships. Cold lunch and soft drink provided by the local scout group.

Tonight, gather for a fun and relaxed farewell party with your tour leaders and fellow travellers. Enjoy buffet style pizza and nibbles, three complimentary drinks, and live music to celebrate the end of an unforgettable experience. (B, L, D)

MONDAY 15 FEBRUARY 2027

Farewell Invercargill
